DX0DX April 2012 has been cancelled for the foreseeable future.
Chris VK3FY has advised the Ham Radio community the following;
Due to the situation in the South China Seas which has been escalating over the past months I have decided to cancel the 2012 activation.
With this in mind and having a responsibility of duty of care for the operators I have decided that the risks out-way the hobby and hence with the notion of safety first above all else I have decided to put the dx-pedition off for the foreseeable future.
In relation to to the Jan 2011 attempt the following should be noted. This has been an extremely costly expedition to attempt, and the team hopes that each foundation sponsor/club, understands that due to the extremely high costs of the Jan 2011 attempt that the amounts of refunds to be sent to each club/foundation and the team maybe be less than the amount contributed.
